BME Motorsport

BME Motorsport was founded at the end of 2018 with only 8 members at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, with the aim of providing outstanding development and experience-gaining opportunities for young, talented students interested in motorsport. Our team currently consists of 100 enthusiastic and dedicated engineers, economists, mathematicians, and students of economic sciences.

Each year, we participate in the international Formula Student competition, where the world’s leading universities compete with race cars they have designed and built themselves.

Our team is among the most dynamically developing in Europe. Although our history does not yet span decades, we can already boast numerous podium finishes and trophies. These achievements serve as our greatest motivation and inspire us to dedicate a significant part of our free time-beyond our academic commitments- to the continuous development of this project.

In the 2024 season, we developed our own hybrid system, which we successfully implemented in the 2025 season with our race car equipped with an internal combustion engine complemented by electric drive. We will also enter the 2026 season with the same hybrid powertrain, enhanced with further developments and refinements.
