New technologies like (semi-)autonomous and/or electrical driving of cars gain an increasing production share with the advancements of these techs But the electronics of these systems carry critical, safety related functionality leading to stricter requirements for technical cleanliness in the manufacturing chain.
Depending on the final implementation, the fulfilment of these requirements can lead to a significant increase of manufacturing cost – and therefore a disadvantage in competitiveness. In our presentation we want to quickly introduce the general background of Technical Cleanliness requirements in electronics and then discuss cost-optimized paths to tackle these requirements.
